Congressmen and their aids went ballistic, complaining they could not afford Obama Care, Obama steps in and orders Budget office to give Congress a 70% waiver and supply 70% of the required monies for each Congressman and his aids. The Grassly Amendment was to assure Congress would live under the same Obama Care laws, as the rest of the USA. Obama is setting up a true ruling class, it's time America wake up to this Communism that is undermining our country and our US Constitution.

The American people need to Flood Congress, with e-mails and phone calls, letting them know they are no different than the rest of us, when it come to the laws we must all live under. Congress is not the ruling class, here in America.

    dave, very good.
CONGRESS is where the problem is.
    here is example.
    i worked for railroad.
our republican congressaman g.t thompson voted to do away with my pension and move it to social security.
this would reduce my small monthly payments[$1400] as private pensions usually pay a little more than ss.
right now under railroad pension your wife gets half your pension.
COULD THAT DISAPPEAR UNDER SOCIAL SECURITY,I BET SO!!!!!!!!!!!
also he voted against his own gas bill as koch brothers got to him according to info,if truth but i asked him about it and he said,JIM I DONT AGREE WITH GIVING HOMEOWNERS A 3500 REBATE for furnace TO CHANGE OVER TO MARCELLUS GAS.
democrats want rebate for us to get GAS BOOM going and republicans say no.
also there was 15,000 rebate for business too.
i feel republicans, which i am are making a big mistake going after our pensions and doing everything they can to stop us from getting break on our health insurance.
hey, i have friends in business that tell me they dont care if you have insurance and would like to pay you only 8 dollars per hr.
congress should not have been allowed to go on vacation until they work together to help us.
i bet they dont cut their own pensions that we pay and put it in ss.
heck they get their own pensions different than other emplkoyees in government.

i am getting very disgusted with republican congressman today that want to cut our benefits and reduce our wages.
jay paterno ,son of joepa told me he is disgusted with what he is seeing also .paternos always were people persons, down to earth.
    he is democrat.

i do believe he will run against GT THOMPSON republican here in nc pa and could be first democrat in strong republican area to get elected to congress.
i still cant believe that people we elect go after your pensions and benefits and use excuse,WE DONT HAVE MONEY.
i wonder if they were on otherside and someone was doing thses things would they agree with it.
    i bet not.

    very sad.

Jim: If Jay Paterno does decide to get into politics he better have a thick skin. He will be skewered by all the bad press his father got from the way he failed to report the child abuse which was reported to him in the Sandusky matter. Jay and his family defended Joe Pa's actions and this will certainly hurt his chances of getting elected.

    gspdog,
John McCain was damaged in Vietman as a POW beyond healing, the brain washing has severely taken its measure.
While I have the ultimate respect for Senator McCain as a soldier, his politics have become questionable with some of his recent stands and statements. In the old days before Vietnam McCain stood side by side with pal Ted.
You are probably to young to remember, as President Reagan said we will not hold it against you.

A Harvard Study estimates 45,000 people a year die, because of no health insurance !

Although people die because they have no health insurance, a hospital cannot turn away anyone with a life threatening condition so in theory nobody should die because they do not have health insurance. However, many people choose not to see a physician because they do not have a way to pay once the treatment has been provided. However, often by the time they get to a hospital, their life threatening condition is too far advanced to be saved. Also, life saving treatment of some prescription drugs or certain medical procedures (such as dialysis or transplant operations) may not be affordable and are thus the patient is denied a life saving drug or operation. Ryman, Christ man, Jesus himself would stone you , should America let 45K die each year because your GOP heroes and the talking heads on Fox tell you it will fail like social security has failed or medicare or whatever program to help people is a waist of money, are you only for yourself , are you just another ****ed old white dude blaming this counties decline on the poor? Set your sites a little higher the well heeded of this nation and their puppets in DC are more to blame then anyone. ss jetset ps. SxS don't respond to my posts anymore go to your NAMBLA sites where you belong.

The other shame in our health care mess is that it causes so many families financial ruin. Medical bills are the leading cause of bankruptcies.

A few years ago, before I retired, a female co-worker had an infant son become gravely ill with leukemia. She shared with me that the hospital bill, excluding doctors' bills, for the first month was $250,000. I suspect the total cost of treatment neared a million dollars, since her son was hospitalized for three to four months.

Anybody can be hit with a medical nightmare.

    very true.
    i have geisenger insurance.
    i have 2,000 dollar deductable.
i cant switch because i have pre=existing condition.
i have no drug coverage or dental.
yet everyone around me in my neighborhood has great insurance fron STATE OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ,dominion gas co, teachers, pendot .
when you retire from railroad,YOU ARE ON YOU OWN.

also my pension is taxable .
a lot in my area their pensions are not taxable and they make double over what i make a month and have insurance.

not fair, i am not being treated very nicely.

Far as I know, most pensions--including military and SS--get taxed by the feds. Some states give pensioners breaks, however. Neither of those is subject to state income tax in WI, which is a nice break.
