A good day in the grouse woods is soooo much more than a stack of dead animals.

I think every successful grouse hunter has a healthy dose of "What's over yonder?..." built into their personality.
We feel a compulsion to go look. To see. To experience.

I believe when the spring is good for the birds, it's good for me too.
Not that I'm going to pile them up, but rather I'm going to see more of them. Especially in the new places "over yonder" that I might decide to bumble through.

And of course, some freshly printed maps, really help in that endeavor.
